A validation report should help someone do the next part of their job. That means showing what a check found, connecting it to the source data, and making room for the reviewer’s judgment.
The people maintaining the data need answers they can use. The person waiting for help needs the system to work. Groundtruth 911's products begin with that relationship.
Useful tools should make the work easier to understand and act on.
From Recurring Problems to Useful Products
Groundtruth 911 began with recurring problems that deserved better tools.
Moving data between standards should be easier. A data check should explain its findings. Practical knowledge should be easier to find when someone needs it.
Validation Workbench is Groundtruth 911's flagship product for local GIS validation and human review. Schema Bridge is the free public-beta tool for converting between supported NENA data-model versions. Both help people work with their data while keeping a record of what happened.
The Aggregation Point is a distinct, free, vendor-neutral practitioner community. CALL WAITING is Kaitlin Quinn’s independent investigation of emergency response; its reporting does not presume that Groundtruth 911’s products are the answer.
The aim is practical: help people understand a problem, make a decision, and leave enough context for the next person to follow it.

Independent by Design
We follow problems across contracts, departments, and product boundaries. We say when something is not working, acknowledge what we do not know, and change course when the evidence calls for it.
That requires respect for the people doing the work: their knowledge, their time, and the constraints they work within. It also means keeping the person depending on the system in view.
Groundtruth 911 makes room for honest findings, disagreement, and correction.
When we work together, responsibilities should be clear, contributions should be valued, and compensation should be agreed before work begins.
